The latest version of the YL series, the V2 upgrade, was launched at the Geneva High-end Watch Salon to celebrate IWC's 150th anniversary. This new model is the only one in the series featuring a large date display window. It is equipped with a blue lacquered dial and the iconic strap design (model: IW502708). The watch is powered by the 2850 self-winding movement, featuring a zero-wear ceramic component in the Pellaton winding system and a 7-day power reserve thanks to the dual mainspring barrels. The blue lacquered dial, along with the small seconds dials on both sides and the 7-day power reserve indicator, create a harmonious and unique visual experience. Below the 12 o'clock marker are three windows for the perpetual calendar function, presented in an American layout, showing the month, date, and day. The calendar only needs to be adjusted once at the end of February each year. The blue lacquered dial, with its rhodium-plated hands and the brand's classic pilot hour markers, showcases IWC's characteristic aesthetic dial design. The hour and minute hands, small seconds hand, 7-day power reserve display hand, and main hour markers all have luminous sections, allowing for timekeeping even in low-light conditions. The transparent case back allows for a view of the 52850 self-winding movement. Notably, the brand has also placed a 150th anniversary gold coin on the skeletonized rotor, and the stainless steel part of the case back is engraved with the unique serial number of the watch!
