OME, a newcomer in this industry, has compelled the PP Factory to enhance the movement of its replica Nautilus 5712. Previously, PP Factory deepened the engravings on the 240 movement of its replica 5712, a topic I discussed in an earlier post. OME specializes in replicating Patek Nautilus 5712 watches, encompassing both stainless steel and golden models. Many reviews have been published about OME's 5712, with some reviewers claiming that OME produces the superior replica of the 5712 compared to PP Factory. Below, I present a simple comparison using OME’s golden 5712 model. Please refer to the images provided.

In the first image, the left-hand golden 5712 is from OME, while the right-hand stainless steel 5712 originates from PP Factory but features a replacement SW dial, hands, and moon phase mechanism. Some reviewers suggest that OME employs identical SW watch components; however, upon closer inspection, the SW dial, hands, and moon phase on the right-hand watch appear superior. Notably, OME utilizes a solid axis for its hands.

The second and third images depict a case comparison. The middle section of OME's 5712 case is thinner, yet the overall thickness of the cases remains consistent between both watches. The finishing at the lugs' ends on OME's 5712 is notably superior, enhancing its visual appeal compared to PP Factory's 5712. If one wishes to upgrade the dial, hands, and moon phase on PP Factory's 5712, significant additional costs are incurred, resulting in a total price exceeding that of OME's 5712.

Are there any other distinctions? For instance, regarding the movement? Please share your thoughts in the comments below.
